About the Community of Practice
How we got started
This Community of Practice is made up of eight Home-Based Child Care (HBCC) Networks from across North Carolina. We began meeting in the Spring of 2023 with the support of partners including Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC Foundation and Home Grown. The purpose of this Community of Practice is to (1) increase shared learning and collaboration among the eight networks to support better the local home-based child care providers in the communities they serve and (2) identify and advance systems-level change. Both of these outcomes take us in the direction of our North Star of creating an equitable and inclusive system for HBCC providers and the families they serve.
Our Vision
Our Members
This Community of Practice is Member Led and Driven. Each member organization serves as a Home-Based Child Care (HBCC) Network in their local community. HBCC Networks are the connective tissue that joins individual home-based providers to each other and to system infrastructure, including funding and policy.
